| Subject Expertise | I have been teaching K-8 students for 14 years. Math: I help students build a strong foundation in numeracy. Math is not simply about memorizing algorithms. I help students become flexible problem-solvers. Reading: I am trained in Orton-Gillingham. I use an explicit, multisensory approach. Writing: I love to write and teach writing. I have participated in the Colorado Writing Project and have led many professional development activities in writing. I help students learn to organize their writing, increase stamina and motivation, develop ideas and craft, improve vocabulary, and work on mechanics. |
