| Educational Background | For almost four years now, I have worked as an online ESL teacher, holding over 8200 classes, teaching thousands of students from age 4-15 and remaining a top teacher throughout my employment. For 7 days, 68 slots per week, for almost four years, my mornings were welcomed by smiling faces, enthusiastic voices and energy from diligent, expressive, humorous and bright children. I wish to continue my work in this field and hope you will choose me as your new ESL English Teacher!! I received my double major Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Rhetoric, Writing and Theater from the University of Winnipeg. I also have my TESOL teaching certificate. Some of my applicable recent work experience includes being an online E.S.L. Teacher, International Student Advisor/Coordinator at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate, a Student Recruitment Officer also with the University of Winnipeg, and an Administrative Assistant for the Office of Global Engagement at North Island College in British Columbia, I have also supervised and executed marketing events for people of all ages and run major national tours for high profile brands and companies throughout Canada. |
| Subject Expertise | Working one on one with my students in whichever academic environment I have been in, has been the most rewarding and enjoyable part of my job; seeing a young person’s eyes light up at having discovered something new, understanding or speaking a sentence or new word for the first time, or finding confidence to express themselves in ways they may have struggled before. Some of my ESL students were with me for a few years, and with this, I had the pleasure and honour of watching them grow and develop. I loved learning their stories, hearing their hopes, their fears, and their questions. I love working with people in a highly personal, challenging and fulfilling way. |
